About the role:
The Assistant Manager - Alumni Engagement will be responsible for developing and implementing org's alumni engagement strategy, ensuring a strong and supportive network for our students. This role will focus on fostering connections, organizing events, facilitating career development opportunities, and strengthening relationships between org and its alumni community.
Key Responsibilities
Alumni Engagement Strategy & Execution
Develop a long-term alumni engagement roadmap aligned with organisational goals, ensuring sustainability and scalability of the alumni network. Identify and implement strategies to re-engage inactive alumni and strengthen their connection with the alumni ecosystem.
Serve as the primary point of contact for alumni, addressing their queries and ensuring ongoing engagement.
Event Planning & Career Support
Plan and execute alumni events such as networking meetups, workshops, guest lectures, and career exploration sessions.
enable opportunities for orgs Alumni in a scalable and systemic manner Work closely with the Programs, Communications, and Partnerships teams to align alumni engagement eorts with orgs larger mission.
Support internal teams by leveraging alumni as speakers, mentors, or ambassadors for various programs.
Facilitate job placement opportunities, internships, and professional development workshops for alumni in collaboration with partners. Develop mentorship programs by connecting experienced alumni with recent graduates
Stakeholder & Budget Management
Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including program teams, employer partners, and trainers, to create opportunities for alumni.
Plan and manage the alumni engagement budget, ensuring optimal resource utilization.
Maintain a database of alumni, tracking their career progression and engagement levels.
Reporting & Documentation
Monitor and evaluate the eectiveness of alumni initiatives and recommend improvements.
Build a structured alumni database to track career progress, engagement levels, and program impact.
Analyze trends and feedback from alumni to enhance program oerings and engagement strategies.
Ensure accessibility of alumni resources through online communities, newsletters, and virtual events.
Prepare reports for senior management, highlighting key alumni engagement metrics and success stories.
Ensure timely documentation of alumni interactions, success stories, and career progression insights.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
Minimum 4 years of experience in alumni relations, program management, or a similar role involving stakeholder engagement and event coordination. Prior experience in the social sector and working with youth is a plus.
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong communication skills (written and verbal) in English and proficiency in Hindi or Marathi.
Excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Event planning and project management experience.
Budget management and resource planning capabilities.
Proficiency in MS Oce (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with Canva or similar design tools is a plus.
Ability to work independently and proactively in a dynamic environment.
