CEE South is seeking dynamic and motivated individuals to support and deliver on its Environmental Education and Climate Change initiatives. The selected candidates will play a key role in implementing school-based sustainability education programs and contributing to positive climate action at the grassroots level.

About the Project:

CEE’s school education programs on Sustainability and Climate Change aim to strengthen students’ understanding of sustainable development and climate action. The initiative promotes project-based learning that integrates science and social science perspectives, guided by the concept of the Ecological Handprint—a framework encouraging students to take positive, measurable actions for sustainability.

The overarching goal is to empower students to become informed and active participants in building a sustainable future, both within and beyond the school environment.

Job Title : Project Officer, Environmental Education & Climate Change

Total Positions: 3

Location 

:  For Faridabad – 1

: For Baroda – 1

: For Nashik – 1

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and implement project activities in schools and field locations
  • Organize and facilitate training programs, teacher workshops, and field visits
  • Conduct subject-based research and contribute to the development of educational materials
  • Engage with stakeholders including government officials, school authorities, partners, and community groups
  • Support monitoring, evaluation, and timely reporting of project outcomes

Qualifications & Competencies:

Essential:

  • Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Climate Change, Natural Sciences, or related fields
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in the areas of environment or climate change
  • Working knowledge of climate education, environmental sustainability, and outreach
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Kannada
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and commonly used software tools
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask, work independently, and take initiative

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with SDG 4 (Quality Education), National Education Policy (NEP), and basic concepts of climate science
  • Experience in proposal writing, report preparation, and documentation
  • Basic design or content development skills
  • Experience in managing projects with multi-stakeholder engagement, especially with government institutions
  • Proficiency in additional local/regional languages (e.g., Hindi, Marathi, or Gujarati depending on location)
