About Role:
The Migration Multi-Partner Trust Fund – Joint Programme (MMPTF-JP) initiative aims to enhance the resilience of vulnerable rural households to climate change in areas prone to climate-induced migration. The goal is to make migration an informed choice rather than a necessity, by strengthening the livelihoods and adaptive capacities of rural populations.

To achieve this, the program focuses on three key dimensions:
• Strengthening the capacity of rural households to build resilient and sustainable livelihoods that can withstand climate stresses and shocks.
• Empowering individuals and families to make informed, voluntary, and safe migration decisions.
• Improving policy and program coherence through strengthened capacities of key stakeholders, enhanced multi-sectoral coordination, and effective policy dialogue in the domains of migration, agriculture, and climate change.

Key Responsibilities:
● Support the planning and implementation of project interventions related to climate-resilient livelihoods and migration.
● Provide technical and field-level support to community-based activities focused on climate adaptation and livelihood enhancement.
● Facilitate capacity-building sessions for community members and local institutions.
● Conduct field visits, monitor ongoing activities, and support documentation and reporting.
● Assist in collecting, analyzing, and presenting data related to climate stress, migration patterns, and livelihood outcomes.
● Coordinate with project partners, government departments, and community-based organizations to ensure smooth execution of project activities.
● Support in organizing community consultations, awareness campaigns, and training events.
● Ensure timely and accurate reporting to the Project Lead and contribute to donor reports.
● Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the development of technical tools, IEC materials, and knowledge products.

Required Qualifications and Experience
● Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in rural development, climate resilience, livelihoods, or related sectors.
● Graduate degree in agriculture, rural development, social sciences, environmental science, or a related field (post-graduate preferred).
● Fluency in Telugu, English, and Hindi is essential.
● Ability and willingness to relocate to Nizamabad and undertake extensive travel within the district.
● Strong facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
● Experience working with rural communities and multi-stakeholder projects will be preferred.
