Sattva has ongoing work with several leading Global, Regional, Domestic Foundations and Multilateral organizations to create evidence and curate dialogue for policy action. Sattva’s Advisory practice enables foundations to amplify their influence and impact through ecosystem engagement and policy research and advisory. We build strategic influence backed by data and research, enhance portfolio performance for funders, engage ecosystem through convenings, knowledge creation and dissemination, facilitate collaboration between funders, implementation organizations, and facilitate policy research, advisory and policy engagement and communication with Central, State and District Governments.
Sattva has experience in a range of ecosystem and policy advisory work - thematic and landscape studies, narrative building, policy analysis and briefs, government engagement and facilitating partnerships— supported by leading foundations. Sattva has created strategic partnerships and influence by building data and evidence backed advisory, key stakeholder relationships in education, gender equality, healthcare, water and sanitation, and financial inclusion.
The Opportunity
Project Management
Independently build and execute project plans, and manage daily responsibilities efficiently
Actively track project milestones and manage multiple streams within the project to ensure execution as per timelines
Demonstrate excellent time management and prioritisation skills
Proactively identify and report project-related risks, mitigating them in consultation with the project lead
Maintain comprehensive documentation of key project knowledge assets, ensuring all critical information is well-documented and easily accessible
Problem Solving
Demonstrate the ability to accurately frame complex problems and translate them into clear and actionable questions for self and team
Identify and collect necessary data and information, synthesising them to derive the insights required to address the problem effectively
Take ownership of the problem-solving process; demonstrate a robust inclination toward taking action and prioritising client needs
Collaborate with relevant stakeholders and seek assistance when needed to ensure effective problem resolution
Team Collaboration
Work closely with team members to ensure the achievement of high-quality project deliverables on time
Collaborate with senior stakeholders of the organisation to support business growth initiatives
Give and receive constructive feedback to the team members in a respectable manner
Manage conflict within the team in an open and transparent manner
Delivery Excellence:
Take overall accountability for client success through active listening, problem-solving, and providing strategic inputs which align with their vision of high impact on the ground and the ecosystem
Co-create solutions to meet client’s current and future needs, working closely with a variety of stakeholders both internally and externally
Influence decision-making and action at the senior level of high-impact organisations to enable positive and sustainable impact
Develop, manage and grow working relationships with clients and key stakeholders
Ensure strong project management, team management, and overall profitability of projects
Presentations
Formulate key areas of inquiry and conceptual frameworks for any qualitative/quantitative research (beginner proficiency)
Present readings/research findings into insights through a visually compelling manner
Adhere to standards of strategic communication (pyramid principle, objective communication, brevity, simplicity)
Qualifications and experiences:

6-8 years of experience in research and consulting and stakeholder management in social enterprises, consulting firms, or global foundations
Graduate or postgraduate degree in data science, information technology, or business analytics engineering. Degrees in other fields such as development studies, business management, or any other equivalent are also acceptable if accompanied by a certification or diploma in data analysis
Proficiency in visualization softwares such as Tableau, PowerBI and Looker Studio; certifications in these thematic areas would be highly desirable
Understanding of AI/ML especially of LLMs is desirable.
Experience of working in a PMU setup is a must
Exceptional problem-solving and advisory skills, strong communication skills, strong presentation and data analytical abilities
Self-driven, high-energy, curious, and adaptable personality with the ability to produce high-quality (entrepreneurial mindset)
Prior experience in leading small teams is an added advantage
Prior experience of working in a multi-stakeholder environment will be an added advantage
Key Competencies
Robust understanding of Indian and Global databases (Macroeconomic, Development Indicators, etc); experience having worked intensively in any domain that involved processing, interpreting, and analyzing databases of varying size and complexity
An in-depth understanding of a few and familiarity with the following types of databases will be useful - CSO databases (National Accounts, NSSO, ASI, PLFS, Census, MSME Survey, etc), Public Finance, domain-specific databases in Agriculture (Agricultural Statistics, FAOSTAT, etc), Health (NHA, HMIS, NFHS, etc), Education (UDISE, NAS, PGI, etc) and any real-time high-frequency non-traditional databases (satellite imagery, road traffic, port congestion, online trends, etc)
Experience having applied data mining/data engineering/data science tools to overlay multiple datasets for deriving insights is a plus
High proficiency in softwares such as Tableau, PowerBI and Looker Studio; certifications in these thematic areas would be highly desirabl
