Associate – Business Development & Partnerships

Role Overview:

The Associate – Business Development and Partnerships will play a key role in expanding CEED’s network of partners, securing funding opportunities, and driving strategic collaborations. This role will require proactive engagement with corporates, donors, foundations, and government bodies to support CEED’s mission and projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Identify and pursue business development opportunities, including grants, partnerships, government, and corporate collaborations.
2. Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, private sector players, and government agencies.
3. Research funding prospects and prepare compelling proposals, concept notes, and pitch decks for potential partners.
4. Support strategic partnership initiatives by organizing meetings, networking events, and engagement activities.
5. Coordinate grant applications, funding reports, and compliance requirements for various donors.
6. Work closely with CEED’s program teams to align business development efforts with organizational goals.
7. Track emerging trends in climate action, clean energy, and policy & advocacy to identify relevant funding and partnership opportunities.
8. Assist in developing well-structured proposals that effectively communicate technical approaches, programme design, impact strategies, theories of change, and key project goals in alignment with funder interests.
9. Provide support to other programmes and teams as required, based on discussions with the line manager.
10. Openness to travel as necessary for business development, partnerships, and networking purposes.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Sustainability, Development Studies, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in business development, partnerships, fundraising, or related roles in the sustainability, nonprofit, or corporate sector.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
• Experience in drafting proposals, grant applications, and funding reports.
• Knowledge of India’s sustainability & CSO landscape, corporate CSR initiatives, and climate finance is a plus.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to travel as per role requirements.

Salary:

• Salary is negotiable and at par with the industry.
