Headquartered in Kolkata, Vikramshila operates field offices in Lucknow, Guwahati, Pune, Ranchi, and Patna, impacting schools, Anganwadi centres, madrasas, and community learning centres across West Bengal, Bihar, Assam, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, and Maharashtra.

Position Overview:

Vikramashila Education Resource Society is looking for a Program Lead in ECCE for a multi-year intensive program at the systems level in Assam, Guwahati. The Program Lead will be responsible for providing strategic, operational, and technical leadership for the ECCE technical support initiative in Assam. This role will involve day-to-day coordination with the government partners, management of technical teams, implementation oversight of situational analyses, demonstration labs, teacher training, TLM development, and state-level seminars and reviews. The role demands a strong understanding of NEP 2020, NCF 2023, and play-based early learning pedagogies.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Project Implementation & Coordination
• Lead overall project execution in collaboration with SSM Assam, SCERT, and other state partners.
• Supervise the rollout of foundational year activities, including situational analysis, demonstration labs, and capacity-building modules.
• Stakeholder Engagement
• Serve as the key point of contact for government counterparts (SSM, SCERT), civil society organizations, and academic institutions.
• Organize consultations, review meetings, and a high-level seminar for the project
• Resource Development & Oversight
• Support the development of culturally contextual and play-based TLMs for government preschools
• Provide guidance and quality assurance on training modules and tools for teacher capacity building.
• Documentation & Knowledge Management
• Oversee documentation of field learnings, promising practices, and feedback from pilot initiatives.
• Ensure timely reporting, case studies, and development of policy briefs.
• Monitoring & Quality Assurance
• Work closely with the MEL Manager to track progress against deliverables and ensure adaptive management  

Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities: 

• Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or Education with special paper on ECE.
• Minimum 7–10 years of experience in managing large-scale education projects, preferably in ECCE or foundational learning.
• Demonstrated experience in government liaison, technical support, and team management.
• Strong understanding of NEP 2020, NCF 2023, and child development frameworks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Assamese
• Willingness to travel within Assam frequently 

Compensation and Tenure:

The salary is negotiable and will be commensurate with the candidate's seniority and qualifications.
