About the Role
Rocket Learning is seeking a passionate and experienced academic expert to lead its Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) initiatives in Garo-speaking regions of Meghalaya. You will design learning content, support training delivery and ensure alignment with state and national education goals in partnership with the Meghalaya Early Childhood Development Mission (MECDM). This is a leadership role for someone who understands pedagogy, values user feedback and can localize instructional materials with creativity and rigour.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead the creation, translation and quality assurance of ECCE content in Garo (videos,
worksheets, games, polls etc.)
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (media, Teacher Professional Development, tech) to
develop engaging, culturally relevant materials
3. Align content with MECDM/state priorities and national ECCE standards (including SCERT, ICDS)
4. Design and conduct pilot-testing, field validation and feedback workshops to improve learning
materials
5. Conduct regular field visits for observation, quality assurance and mentoring
6. Deliver and support teacher trainings (in-person and digital) across various ECCE themes
7. Represent Rocket Learning with state academic institutions and partners; manage academic
partnerships in the region
8. Coordinate with other Academic State Leads to share insights and strengthen learning across
geographies
9. Provide data-backed insights to inform content iterations and training strategy
Key Outcomes
1. High-quality, localized ECCE content created and deployed across Garo-speaking districts
2. Strong alignment with state partners and integration with government ECCE systems
3. Positive user feedback from teachers and field teams on content relevance and effectiveness
4. Improved teacher engagement and capacity through effective training delivery
5. Successful piloting and refinement of instructional materials using community insights
Required Qualifications
1. Minimum 5 years of experience in curriculum design, teacher training or related education roles
2. Degree or certification in ECCE, Education, Child Development, Social Work or related field
3. Strong understanding of early childhood development and how young children learn
4. Fluency in Garo and working proficiency in English
5. Excellent communication and facilitation skills, including comfort with on-camera training
6. Willingness to travel across districts in Meghalaya for training and field work
7. Comfort working in tech-enabled and remote work environments
Preferred Experience
1. Experience working with state education systems (e.g., SCERT, ICDS)
2. Background or interest in Social Emotional Learning and community engagement
3. Familiarity with digital and offline content development tools
4. Ability to interpret user data and use insights for improving learning design
