What You Will Do
The Short-Term Consultant will be tasked with developing a strategic position paper that critically analyses the evolving e-commerce landscape in India, with a focus on creating an enabling policy environment for both domestic growth and cross-border trade. The consultant will examine regulatory frameworks, consumer protection standards, digital infrastructure, logistics ecosystems, and data governance policies to identify gaps and opportunities that affect e-commerce scalability. Special emphasis will be placed on understanding the global regulatory climate and aligning India’s e-commerce ecosystem with international best practices to enhance investor confidence and operational ease for foreign platforms and sellers. Drawing on their industry knowledge and networks, the consultant will deliver actionable recommendations to support seamless market access, platform innovation, and inclusive digital commerce. Work in alignment with GCG's strategic vision, provide timely updates, participate in internal reviews, and be open to feedback and iteration.
You must have:
Sectoral and subject matter expertise, along with proven capabilities of developing industry-specific insight papers.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to take ownership of complex projects and drive them to completion.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
